Visit and tasting
The guided tour of our winery-museum consists of four parts, all located in our 16th-century building:
1) Ethnological Museum: we will visit our centuries-old cellars where you will discover prehistoric, Roman, and medieval sites from all the civilizations that have made the cultivation of the vine possible in Rioja.
2) Wine Museum: we will show you the techniques and tools that our family used to make wine as early as the 19th century.
3) Tunnel of the Senses: we will let our senses fly to discover the aromas, flavors, and colors that appear inside a bottle of wine.
4) We will end the guided tour with a tasting of four wines and an olive oil on our glazed porch.
Our winery-museum has been awarded, up to four times, as the Best Winery in Art and Culture in the prestigious Best Of awards.

In the heart of Elciego, where history and innovation intertwine, Bodegas Valdelana emerges as a living testament to the passion for winemaking that has transcended generation after generation since 1583. The 15th and 16th-century underground cellars house an ethnological museum that reveals the secrets of the civilizations that have cultivated vines in Rioja Alavesa. Additionally, the Wine Museum displays centuries-old tools that chronicle the evolution of viticulture in the region. Innovation is our hallmark. The Garden of Varieties, located on a majestic bend in the Ebro River, cultivates more than 130 grape varieties, including the ancient Marawi, used in biblical times. This space is not only a tribute to the diversity of wines, but also a lookout point offering unparalleled views of the region's landscape. You'll also find Rioja's most iconic swing here. Our commitment to excellence has been recognized on multiple occasions. In 2023, we were awarded the Best of Innovative Experiences award, consolidating our position as one of the most outstanding wine tourism projects in Spain. Prior to this award, we won three awards from the renowned Arts and Culture competition.
