The decision to build a new winery responds to the values that have been the pillars of the company since the beginning: the vocation to make great quality wines and the conviction to bet on experimentation and innovation. It is also the culmination of a love story that has united the family that owns the company and the Empordà for a century. The conception process of the new winery began when the Suqué-Mateu family – owners of Perelada – trusted the intuition of the RCR studio and the purity of its architecture, based on respect for the pre-existing landscape and prioritizing the emotional and experiential of the resulting space The new Perelada winery is the first in Europe to have the LEED® BD + C environmental and energy certification, a seal developed by the US Green Building Council that will accredit the sustainability and high efficiency of its design and construction.
