Discover the elegance and history of Montalcino with an authentic experience at the prestigious Castelgiocondo estate of the Frescobaldi family, which will reveal the history of the renowned Brunello di Montalcino.
The visit begins with a brief introduction to the history of the Frescobaldi family and Castelgiocondo's pioneering role in the area's wine production. We will continue with a guided tour to discover the history and unique characteristics of the estate, set in a stunning Tuscan landscape.
At the end of the tour, you can relax with an exclusive tasting that includes three selected wines: the famous Brunello di Montalcino, a red wine, and a white wine from the Frescobaldi collection. The tasting will be accompanied by a three-course lunch, as well as a sampling of Laudemio Frescobaldi extra virgin olive oil.

Welcome to Tenuta CastelGiocondo, surrounded by nature and tranquility, where the intimate, elegant and welcoming atmosphere expresses its harmony with Tuscan tradition, the surrounding landscape and the vineyards that surround it. The village of Castelgiocondo dominates from above the historic Frescobaldi estate in Montalcino, an ancient fortress built in 1100 to defend the road that led from the sea to Siena. The property is one of the first four from which, in 1800, the production of Brunello di Montalcino began and its historical importance is demonstrated by the figure of the knight depicted on the labels of Castelgiocondo wines, taken from a famous fresco by the Sienese painter Simone Martini. The artist painted Guidoriccio da Fogliano, commander of the troops of Siena, who led the attack on the castle of Montemassi. A historical coincidence that saw, at the same time as the exploits of the knight, the Frescobaldi begin their centuries-old adventure in the world of wine.
