Áster is the successful project of La Rioja Alta, S.A. in Ribera del Duero. For this project, the winery group combined the desire to achieve oenological excellence with the philosophy of using only its own vineyards to make its wines. It was founded in 2000 in Anguix, a facility equipped with the most modern technology and surrounded by vineyards as if it were a Bordeaux chateau. The 95 hectares of Tinta del País vineyards, located between this Burgos municipality and La Horra, have already reached maturity - most were planted in 1991 - and are working at full capacity.
