Visit and tasting
The Tour at Farneto del Principe includes a visit to the vineyards and the company complex covering almost 100 hectares, during which you can walk and stop between the rows and gain knowledge of the vines and cultivation techniques. Given the naturalistic state of the area, the visit to the vineyards is carried out on board a 4X4 off-road vehicle with an expert driver/guide from the company.
Subsequently the visit moves inside the cellar, where it will be possible to discover the entire winemaking process: from the arrival of the grapes in the cellar to the bottling of the wine.
The last stop of the tour is the tasting of bottled wines accompanied by platters of typical local cured meats and cheeses, carried out in the premises of the office adjacent to the cellar.

The Farneto del Principe agricultural company stands on a hill at the foot of Altomonte, a splendid town in the province of Cosenza, one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Italy, with a thousand-year-old wine culture witnessed since Roman times by the great Pliny the Elder in his "Naturalis Historia" in which he mentioned the "Balbini" wines from the ancient name of the village Balbia which at the time stood in the valley right near our vineyards. Our territory is perpetually kissed by the sun and is caressed by the sweet breeze of the Ponentino which, from the Tyrrhenian Sea goes towards the Ionian, inebriating the air with the intense scents of the sweet and wild land of Calabria. Fog is unknown here. Our company boasts approximately 100 hectares of vineyards of which 90% of the company cultivar is indigenous, favoring the historic vines that have been present in our territories for millennia, 5 hectares of olive groves and approximately 20 hectares of woods and arable land. The company center is spread over two bodies, one is used as a cellar for the vinification, maturation and aging of the wine, the other is designed for the storage and storage of finished products. The Farneto del Principe farm is a family-run organic business. Our goal has always been to best convey the expression, aromas and uniqueness of our territory through our wine. The company's main path is that of quality first of all, with full respect for the environment.
