Re Manfredi was born in 1998 in the heart of the Aglianico del Vulture DOC production area, a few kilometers from Venosa, an illustrious town for having been born in 65 BC. to the Latin poet Horace. An elegant and welcoming farmhouse stands out in the center of the property which extends over 100 hectares of vineyards cultivated with Guyot and spurred cordon. Next to the farm there is the modern and dynamic Re Manfredi cellar, a unique structure in the area which has a pressing line with selection of grapes, new presses and winemakers in wood and steel and small containers that allow the separate vinification of the grapes coming from from different vineyards in order to preserve their peculiarities. The new structure also boasts a vault where 1600 bottles of historic vintages are stored, dating back to 1998. The new barrel cellar buried 7 meters deep houses around 200 barriques for refining Aglianico as well as alternative containers such as amphorae, clayver and Oeufs de Beaune containers used to test different winemaking techniques. The cellar is also equipped with a photovoltaic system for the self-production of sustainable solar energy.
