Welcome to the Castello di Uviglie Winery, where tradition and innovation meet. Let yourself be seduced by the magic of Monferrato and the passion we put into every detail. We proudly and responsibly safeguard a winemaking tradition that is over five centuries old, a symbol of the Monferrato hills. The first vineyard planted dates back to 1491, making the Castello di Uviglie winery one of the oldest wineries in Piedmont. Over the centuries, the estate has passed into the hands of great Italian families, including the Counts Pico Gonzaga and the Counts Cacherano di Bricherasio, who were also the founders of FIAT. Today, Castello di Uviglie wines are the result of careful work that honors the terroir and enhances the native vines of Monferrato: Barbera, Grignolino and Albarossa.
