Visitors will be able to access the halls of the Castle, finding themselves immersed in a magical atmosphere given by the wonderful frescoes
The visit will begin in the reception rooms in the 16th century private residence, followed by the extraordinary opening of the historical archive of the Prime Minister Baron Sidney Sonnino which preserves important documents and relics of the First World War, the library and the medieval kitchen of the Castle

Castello Sonnino is a perfectly preserved historic wine estate overlooking the Chianti hills. Just 20 minutes from Florence, Volterra and San Gimignano on the road to Pisa and Livorno. It is composed of a 16th century palace with a tower dating back to the 13th century, medieval, fortified and a member of ADSI (Association of Italian Historic Houses) and Case della Memoria. Today the property is the result of the commitment of Baron Alessandro and Baroness Caterina de Renzis Sonnino. They restored the villa which also contains the Sidney Sonnino historical archive and founded the "Castello Sonnino International Educational Center" which collaborates with American and Canadian universities, organizing study programs. Castello Sonnino is one of the main producers of Chianti Montespertoli D.O.C.G. and high quality olive oil. Philosophy The Sonnino Castle with its thirteenth-century tower, symbol of the Montespertoli area, dominates the valleys of the Florentine Chianti. Here, for over two centuries, the Sonnino family has been producing wines and extra virgin olive oils of notable character, blending a profound knowledge and love for the land with a constant spirit of research. Today Baron Alessandro de Renzis Sonnino leads the company along this path between tradition and experimentation, giving life to one of the most interesting wines of the new Tuscan generation.
