Visit and tasting
The architecture, decoration and gardens of the Palace have been influenced over the centuries by different owners, inspired by their travels through Europe, Africa and the East, thus contributing to transforming it into a unique jewel.
Come and visit the Palácio da Bacalhôa and discover a privileged landscape with a historical setting that began with the founders of the Avis Dynasty.
Over time, the Palace was embellished with Portuguese tiles from the 15th and 16th centuries evoking Moorish designs and with a lake house.
From the inside to the outside, you can see unique pieces from the private art collection, passing through the gardens and vineyards to the lake house where we can find the first dated tile in Portugal.
Tasting accompanied by Azeitão cheese and dried fruits.

100 Years of Bacalhôa 500 Years of History Over the years, Bacalhôa, one of the largest and most innovative wine companies in Portugal, has developed a wide range of wines that have earned it a solid reputation and the preference of national and international consumers. Present in 7 Portuguese wine regions With a total of 1,200 hectares of vineyards, 40 different grape varieties and 4 wine centres (cellars), the company stands out in the market for its size and 70% autonomy in its own production. Each of the entities that make up the Bacalhôa Group - Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal, Aliança Vinhos de Portugal and Quinta do Carmo - corresponds to a production centre with its own characteristics and a heritage with intrinsic cultural value. Bacalhôa has wineries in the most important regions of Portugal: Alentejo, Setúbal Peninsula, Bairrada, Beiras, Dão and Douro. The project implemented in the various farms under the theme “Art, Wine and Passion” aims to exceed the most demanding expectations.
