Visit and tasting
From the privileged point of view of the terrace, discover the specificities of Moulin-à-Vent: its granite soils, the impact of the winds which blow on the AOC and the estate, or the diversity of the terroirs of which we can already see 5 out of the 69. A dive into the past of the Château immerses you in 3 centuries of history, alongside the great families who carried the estate, with faith still intact today.
In the vatage, we concentrate on the technical part: explanations of our methods and our choices, here we decipher the genesis of our wines, from the harvest to the aging, via the vaulted and centuries-old cellar of the estate .
La Chapelle des Thorins then opens its doors, with 4 wines available for tasting: 3 vintages, including 2 plot selections from the terroirs presented at the start of the visit, from the current vintage, as well as a vintage from an older vintage, in order to to appreciate the “vintage effect” on our wines.

Reference domain since 1732, Château du Moulin-à-Vent takes place in the heart of the eponymous appellation. Nestled in the middle of the vineyards, it houses a Chapel in its heart. Located on the emblematic terroir of "Thorins" from which it inherits its name, it is the former crossroads of the hamlet, and was integrated into the property at the end of the 19th century. What better place than this place, steeped in the history of the terroirs of the appellation, to live a unique Moulin-à-Vent experience? The 23 localities worked by the estate are within a radius of 300m around the Chapel: each of them is expressed in our plot cuvées. Available for tasting, they allow you to grasp the essence of the Moulin-à-Vent terroirs, through their nuances and depths. La Chapelle is also a unique and rare opportunity to taste more mature wines. Convinced that time does a good job, we keep part of each harvested vintage in the cellars of the Château, witness to the history of the estate and its evolution. A few bottles of these older vintages are available at La Chapelle. Finally, La Chapelle offers a complete immersion in the life of the estate. The visits lead the curious from the adjoining vineyards to the centuries-old cellar; Passing through the doors of the vat room, you may meet the cellar master and witness the development of our wines, enhanced by fine and delicate vinification and aging methods.
