Bohedal is a family project that emerged at the beginning of the last century, in 1917, when Don José Bezares inherited part of the vineyards that supply us today. We love viticulture, we have grown up among vineyards and learned from the production methods of our ancestors, we respect the characteristics of Rioja wines and we want to disseminate this knowledge. Therefore, after several years of studies and visits to other pioneering regions in wine tourism, we went further and decided to open our doors to wine lovers 20 years ago. Our efforts have been awarded the “Best of Wine Tourism” for innovation in 2019. Being avant-garde and one of the first Family Wineries in Rioja to offer these services to both national and foreign tourists. At Bohedal we understand wine tourism as an exclusive and inclusive experience, which allows anyone to immerse themselves in the exciting world of oenology and our family, discovering new sensations around wine and the wine culture of Rioja. Our degree of immersion in this type of activities implies that a family member, with appropriate training, is the one who gives the visits in Spanish, English or French.
