Quinta da Lagoalva de Cima is a natural area of unique beauty that stretches along the south bank of the Tagus, about 2 km from Alpiarça. Its historical, human and agricultural characteristics provide visitors with an unforgettable experience of sensations and experiences linked to the rural world. Its history dates back to the 12th century, when the King of Portugal handed over these lands to the Order of Santiago de Espada, after their heroic deeds in the conquest of Santarém. It belonged to this order for 6 centuries. With the 2nd Count of Palmela, Quinta da Lagoalva de Cima came to belong to the Palmela family, until today.
