La Vinyeta, a winery touched by the Tramuntana Located in the heart of the Empordà, in Mollet de Peralada, the La Vinyeta winery is a small vineyard and olive grove farm with a young spirit, the result of effort and passion. The origin of this project must be found in two old vineyards of Cariñena and Garnacha that Josep i Marta bought from an old winegrower in the town. In 2006 they began to make their first bottles. Today La Vinyeta is one of the most beloved wineries in the area, not only for the quality and diversity of its wines but also for its dynamic, humble and dedicated character. Sustainable and ecological production La Vinyeta has recovered the model of the old Catalan farmhouses. The cultivation of the vineyard coexists in harmony with the olive trees and the livestock. The chickens eat the grape remains, the sheep graze the vines and the bees promote biodiversity and certify ecological work. Wine production is complemented with other products such as honey, eggs and cheese. Environmentally friendly, sustainable production At La Vinyeta we have recovered the model of traditional farming. Vines live in harmony with olive trees and livestock. Chickens feed on leftover grapes, sheep graze in the vineyards and bees boost biodiversity and prove the success of the environmentally friendly methods here. Winemaking goes hand in hand with other produces such as honey, eggs, and cheese.
