Visit and tasting
Château des Ravatys invites you to an electric bike ride through some of our plots, followed by the ascent of Mont Brouilly, then a guided tour and tasting of the winery, and finally a picnic.
You will start with a guided bike ride along the hilly areas of Beaujolais. The exceptional setting of Mont Brouilly will offer you a splendid view of the Beaujolais coast. Then, you will return to the estate and continue with an introduction to the history of the castle and a visit to the castle's enclosure. The team will guide you to the cellar where they will explain the winemaking process.
To continue the tour, you will go to the 2 underground cellars and enjoy a tasting of 4 wines.
Finally, depending on the weather, in the heart of the vineyards, or in the large cellar of the castle, you can enjoy a delicious platter of local charcuterie and cheeses, seasonal fruits, fresh bread, and a glass of wine from the estate.

Founded in the 19th century, Château des Ravatys is a historic wine estate acquired by Auguste Solet, an engineer from Lorraine. This unique site boasts numerous old buildings nestled among its vineyards, adding to the site's charm and enchantment. The estate covers 36 hectares, divided between the AOC Brouilly and Côte de Brouilly appellations. The local terroir plays a crucial role in the elegance and finesse of the wines produced. The Brouilly appellation, for example, benefits from sandy and granite soils that give the grapes a distinct suppleness and charm. Château des Ravatys favors Gamay à jus blanc, whose vines grow on the slopes of Mont Brouilly, with an average yield of 50 hectoliters per hectare. The Château des Ravatys team is led by a qualified oenologist, who oversees every stage of production to ensure superior quality wines. The estate offers various activities to visitors, allowing them to discover the history of the château, stroll through the vineyards and enjoy a wine tasting in an exceptional setting.
