Embodying the philosophy of natural wines, Domaine Richaud opens the doors of its cellar to share the values we hold dear. Founded in 1974, the Domaine was born from Marcel and Marie's shared passion for the terroir, settled on the family lands of the Cairanne appellation. Very quickly, a realization emerged, and an entire philosophy came to life, embodied in our bottles: it's not just about "making wine," but about creating wines that pay homage to these terroirs with as little alteration as possible. With constant precision and rigor, each vintage is an invitation to discover terroirs and grape varieties in their purest expression. Very quickly diverted from conventional agriculture, they moved towards practices that were more respectful of the soil and the vines, complying with the criteria of organic farming and certified the entire vineyard with Ecocert l in 2008. It is also in the cellar that this philosophy is embodied in the processing of juices: natural vinification, ultra-limited use of sulfur, elimination of all inputs, etc. Today, our 80 hectares of vines are treated with the same care and respect: from our AOC Cairanne, which are available in white and red, to our French and Côtes du Rhône wines, we find the same high standards: manual harvests, several sortings, and other practices that we will be happy to share with you during your visit.
