The Mocenni estate is an uncontaminated and magical place. It is located near Vagliagli, north of Siena, in the heart of Tuscany, in the southern part of the Chianti Classico production area. The origins date back to 1067 when it was a fortress for the defense of Siena. The estate is surrounded by nature and the vineyards, surrounded by woods, form an amphitheater facing south. Among its vineyards is parcel 89 from which the Gran Selezione Mocenni 89 is born, a symbol of the excellence of Chianti Classico. The family has been producing wine since 1349 and our philosophy is deeply linked to the wine-growing territories which are cultural heritage to be protected and enhanced in terms of social, environmental and economic sustainability. Respect for nature and people is accompanied by the unstoppable pursuit of quality, authenticity and integrity in production, and audacity in future challenges. We use ecologically sustainable agricultural techniques that are compatible with the protection of the natural environment. The use both in the countryside and in the cellar of natural products such as organic fertilizers and hormonal deterrents.
