The Borderie estate was born from the romance of Odile, originally from Neuville-sur Seine, and Jean-Louis, native of Bar-sur-Seine. Their parents, Marie Louise and Jean Normand, Henriette and Charles Piconnet, were winegrowers at a time when it was a real difficult job... A profession to which they nevertheless stuck to. Odile and Jean Louis, quite naturally, took over in the vineyards, to cultivate their common passion. They then decided to bring together pretty plots all located in the Côte des Bar, the southernmost sector of Champagne. A beautiful plot then saw the light of day which, at the harvest, draws its grapes from the sources of very specific regions, one by one pampered like gardens. They are true gardeners of the vine, attentive and careful, guardians of traditions, but also open to developments...
