Do you know how to make a sweet wine, or a rosé and a red wine? What about sparkling wines?... This complete wine experience at the heart of a family winery - a guided wine tour run by a wine professional and the wife of the owner and winemaker - will allow you to discover the whole wine-making process, from grape to wine.
This 3-hour tour begins with a guided walk in the vineyard - where everything starts, as no good wine can be made without growing quality grapes in the first place! You will learn about French 'AOCs' (Appellations of Controlled Origin) in general and about AOC Vouvray - which is produced in this area of the Loire Valley - in particular, about vine-growing and the vinegrower's work in the vines throughout the year. This guided walk will also be the opportunity for you to enjoy the beautiful vineyard landscapes and to discover troglodytes - traditional Loire Valley dwellings dug in the limestone.
We will then tour the family-owned winery and the rock-hewn cellar to learn about vinification, ageing and the traditional method, which is the process we use to make our sparkling wines.
We will finish our wine tour with a tutored tasting of 6 Vouvray/Touraine/Loire wines served with slate boards of local delicacies (Loire fish rillettes, various local cheeses and charcuteries, a local dessert...) to learn about wine tasting and about food and wine pairing.
This wine tour is adapted to both beginners or wine amateurs. Our speech is adapted to everyone's knowledge about wine.

At the heart of the Loire Valley, in the village of Chançay, between Tours (20 km) and Amboise (15 km), come and meet Myriam Fouasse-Robert, the granddaughter and wife of winemakers producing Vouvray wines, and live a complete wine experience at the heart of her family's winery - Vignoble Alain Robert, located at the heart of the vineyard of Vouvray. Since 2014, Myriam has been offering off the beaten path guided wine tours including more than the traditional tours of the cellar and tastings of the wines produced at the family winery. She runs unique, genuine and educational wine tours in the vineyard to allow you to discover the whole wine-making process, as well as about the Loire Valley wines and vineyards. Not only is she eager to share with you her knowledge of the wine-producing world but also her passion for her home region. The wine tours Myriam offers are 'slow' tours: we take our time and enjoy the beautiful vineyard landscapes, as well as the peace and tranquility of living in the Loire Valley. As a former English teacher, Myriam speaks fluent English. She gives intimate tours, either in English or in French, but never mixes the two languages, to make it more confortable for visitors.
