In 2012, led by Yannick Evenou, the winery is purchased from the famous house of champagne Roederer by a group of friends and wine enthusiasts. True to their values and with a strong desire to share their adventure, Chateau Reaut's owners decided to give the opportunity to 400 individuals to become co-owners. As of today we record more than 550 in the world, with the goal to obtain a hundred more every year. Thanks to this unique concept of sharing ownership but also some revolutionary infrastructure, Château Réaut is today a pioneer in the world of wine. Stretching for 26 hectares on a hillside overlooking the river Garonne, Château Réaut is located near the city of Rions, only 4 km from Cadillac. Benefiting from a particularly favorable exposure and precise viticulture, Château Réaut offers structured, powerful but velvety wines. Located on a hillside 20 to 100 m of altitude, facing south-west, the estate benefits from an ideal terroir to obtain a perfectly healthy and ripe grape.
