Château Balestard La Tonnelle is a Grand Cru Classé vineyard managed by the Capdemourlin family, winemakers since 1647. The estate is located a 10-minute walk from Saint-Emilion and welcomes you to its new bioclimatic winery and panoramic terrace for a friendly tour and tasting!

A tour of the vineyard, vat room, and barrel cellar will teach you everything about the process of making a great wine, from the roots to your tasting glass. Welcome to Château Balestard La Tonnelle, a magnificent wine estate located just 800 meters from the village of Saint-Émilion. Our estate, a Grand Cru Classé, is steeped in a rich history, having been acquired by the prestigious Capdemourlin family in 1923. The Capdemourlin family has been present in Saint-Émilion since 1647, which testifies to their deep attachment to the region and its centuries-old wine traditions. The privileged location of our estate offers an undeniable advantage: accessibility on foot from the center of Saint-Émilion in just 10 minutes. You can stroll through the charming alleys of the village before immersing yourself in the bewitching atmosphere of Château Balestard La Tonnelle. Since 2019, we are proud to welcome you to our new bioclimatic building, which embodies our commitment to the environment and sustainability. This place subtly combines tradition and modernity to offer a unique experience to our visitors. Imagine yourself on our 400m² 360° panoramic terrace, which reveals a breathtaking view of the village of Saint-Émilion and its surroundings. It is an ideal place to admire the hilly landscapes, the vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see, and soak up the magical atmosphere of the region.
