Visit and tasting
You will begin your experience with a guided tour of the abbey including:
- A visit to the church, majestic with its dimensions equal to the great Gothic cathedrals (83 meters long and 25 meters high), and its large casks testifying to the wine-growing history of the abbey.
- A visit to the cloister and various rooms of the monastery.
Then, you will enjoy a commented tasting of our range of wines in our cellar on 3 different terroirs:
- PGIs on silt/clay-limestone soils giving fruity wines.
- AOP Languedoc on limestone hillside soils giving more structured, digestible and aromatic wines.
- AOP Languedoc Grès de Montpellier, giving wines of great finesse and aging potential.
* Fixed times for guided tours (11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 4.15 p.m.), without prior reservation, minimum of 5 people for them to take place.

Sobre o anfitrião
The Abbey of Valmagne dates back to 1139 when the Cistercian monks, looking for a great land to set up their abbey, chose Valmagne. They were driven out during the Revolution and it was in 1838 that the Count of Turenne bought the Abbey as a wine estate. Well restored, the abbey is surrounded by a vineyard conducted in organic and biodynamic agriculture for more than 20 years.
