Meal
Discover the unusual world of the Loire Valley's troglodyte dwellings in a gourmet way! You will begin your walk with a refined lunch in the home of Father Cristal, a historic figure of the Saumur Champigny Appellation. In this setting, now transformed into a bistronomic restaurant, Chef Arnaud Montais will introduce you to the typical flavors of our region in a delicious 3-course menu paired with 2 of our vintages. You will then continue your experience by passing through the "troglodytes" of the art village of Turquant while returning to the Domaine de Rocheville. There, you can enjoy a guided tour of the modern cellars and the also troglodyte cellars of Rocheville. You will finally finish with a tasting of our "prestige" vintages on the terrace during the summer or by the fireplace in winter. Bon appétit and enjoy your walk!

Domaine de Rocheville is a wine estate of the Saumur region that covers 4 different appellations: Saumur Rosé, Saumur Blanc, Saumur-Champigny and Crémant de Loire. Not only the winery has always been working in an eco-responsible way, but also the wines have been certified Organic Agriculture since 2019 as well as Terra Vitis since 2011. Rocheville's wines express the multiple personalities of the Saumur terroir and are regularly rewarded in numerous international contests. For example Le Roi 2014 ( Saumur Champigny) and La Dame 2014 ( Saumur Blanc ) are both winners of a silver medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards. Thanks to its exceptional location, the winery also organizes many events throughout the year such as guided tours of the winery and vineyards, an exhibition of summer photographs and paintings or the "Vins-Dredis", musical Happy Hours taking place in Summer on Friday's evenings. In 2020, Rocheville was selected for the second year in a row among the finalists of the Wine Tourism Trophies, awarded by Terre de Vins Magazine and Atout France, and was pleased to win a Grand Prix d'Or ( Gold Prize)!
