Welcome to Castello Monaci! We are in Puglia, in the center of Salento, near the sea and immersed in the green countryside, among expanses of olive trees and vineyards. Castello Monaci dates back to the 15th century, when it was a place of worship and refuge for Basilian monks. Over the centuries it has belonged to various noble families, until it reached the Memmo family, the current owners. Despite numerous renovations and looting, especially during the Second World War, the castle has maintained its historical and artistic charm intact. Surrounded by ancient vineyards and centuries-old olive trees, it stands as an architectural jewel in the heart of the red earth of southern Italy. Today, Castello Monaci is a living place that hosts family and professional events, symbolizing the union between the heritage of the past and the projects of the future. Castello Monaci offers an immersive experience among 3,000 majestic olive trees and 200 hectares of sun-kissed vineyards, with a tuff cellar that houses precious barriques and a fascinating museum that tells the story of the evolution of Salento vines. Here, the Wine Experience is a true sensory journey guided by expert winemakers and sommeliers, among rows, winemaking technologies and ancient stories. Each tour ends with unforgettable tastings of wines and local delicacies.
