Visit and tasting
Santa Margherita, with over seventy years of experience in producing Prosecco Superiore, represents one of the historical realities of the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene area. The sparkling winemaking of Prosecco began in 1952, well before the official definition of the DOC, and since then the brand has always focused on innovation and quality. Since 2022, the entire production of the Refrontolo Estate has been certified organic, confirming the commitment to sustainable practices that respect the environment and the territory. The tasting experience includes the Prosecco Superiore DOCG Santa Margherita, a symbol of the area's winemaking tradition, and the Prosecco di Cartizze, one of the most refined expressions of this territory. An experience that combines history, quality and sustainability, best representing the excellence of Prosecco Superiore.

Santa Margherita is the heart of the Group. It embodies its constant focus on sustainability and environmental protection, and its drive to innovate to keep pace with changing tastes and habits. In 1952, in the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, the adventure of making Prosecco sparkling wine began, transforming it from a local sparkling wine into a global phenomenon in just a few decades. In 1961, Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio made its debut: a new, elegant, and modern wine, born from Count Marzotto's experiment with vinifying 100% pure white grapes from the eponymous grape variety. An icon of Made in Italy, it is today an extremely versatile wine, suitable for pairing with a variety of foods and situations. The 1980s saw the emergence of new interpretations of Chardonnay, with a youthful, fresh, and fruity style, immediate and enjoyable, and of Müller Thurgau, a sparkling version that marries the aromatics of the grape variety with the jaunty and intriguing formula of bubbles.
