An important space for understanding the evolution of Salento wine culture. Developed within a winery dating back to the 1930s, the wine museum offers a series of finds from the agricultural estate: evidence of rural life, wine production activities and customs of domestic life in the typical Salento farmhouse. Finds of considerable interest to which are added an educational path on the long journey of the vine from the Caucasus to the Mediterranean, and a route that presents the native vines narrating the history of the so-called "blending wine", before the wines of the area acquired fame on international markets. Illustrated panels document the words of wine in the Salento dialects, with particular attention to the drinking vessels showing the shapes and functions they have assumed in the tradition linked to the local production of ceramics. Finally, of particular historical value is the photographic gallery that exhibits for the first time images of the photographer Giuseppe Palumbo, whose original plates and films, dating back to the years 1909 to 1932, are preserved at the Provincial Museum of Lecce. An important museum to understand the evolution of the Salento wine culture, where you can taste and buy the most prized wines, thanks to the wine shop and a space dedicated to the typical products of the Terra D'Arneo.
