It is no coincidence that TerraCostantino became the first organic winery on Etna, when the world’s spotlight had not yet turned on the extraordinary oenological microcosm of the volcano. Behind this brand, in fact, there is the long history of agricultural culture and love for the land of our family, which over forty years ago encountered an equally ancient and fascinating history of terroir: when Dino Costantino recovered the vineyard of contrada Blandano in Viagrande where our winery stands today, he discovered that the exceptional quality of the wines that spontaneously came out of those 10 hectares at altitude, overlooking the Mediterranean, had behind it a tradition that had been renewed for centuries, around a palmento from 1699. Although the family business was at that time focused on other entrepreneurial fronts, that encounter between man and land was a flash of inspiration, a love that is still renewed year after year, from harvest to harvest. And it has been enriched, starting from 2020, with a significant investment in a new vineyard in the Praino district, in Milo: two splendid hectares of terraces, in a land naturally suited to the production of Etna Bianco.
