What makes it unique is that you are guided through an incredibly scenic vineyard at the foot of the Vesuvius while enjoying a stunning view of both Napoli's harbor and Pompei on the one side, and the volcano on the opposite side. On-demand at no extra cost, it will be possible to extend the vineyard tour to an exclusive area strictly connected with the eruption that destroyed Pompeii in 79AD. Such extension will further clarify unique aspects that feature volcanic wines, as it exposes the stratifications related to the eruption and coverage of Pompeii.
The tour starts with a guided walk through the vineyards led by a dedicated NWT sommelier from the European School of Sommelier and ends with a private wine-tasting lunch where wine inspection and food-wine pairing techniques will be taught, and advanced topics will be discussed on demand. The tour includes private transportation from the accommodation.

Napoli Wine Tours aims, in addition to offering high-level food and wine experiences with wines and products selected with the greatest care and attention, to spread the wine culture in an interesting, light, and competent way. At each tour or tasting, we tune in to the level of competence of our customers, to be able to offer them the right and pleasant insight. This means that starting from the neophyte up to the expert oenologist, we will be able to offer you a unique experience. Following a brief historical-anthropological introduction to wine, participants will be able to learn about the history, curiosities, characteristics of the territory, the wine varieties grown, and the organoleptic characteristics of the wines produced according to the season. The private tour or tasting will be led by a professional sommelier from the European School of Sommeliers with suggestions and bases for the organoleptic analysis of the wine. Hence, our guests will learn wine inspection techniques, wine-food pairings strategies, basic concepts of winemaking, or more advanced concepts of wine production and consumption.
