The farm was born in 2000 when the family was discussing whether to sell the beautiful vineyards that surround the house where I grew up. Those who come to visit the cellar and the company come to visit vineyards in Southern Italy, in an inland and mountainous area at an altitude of 600 meters; visit a volcanic terrain (walking among the rows of vines, Monte Vulture is always clearly visible a few hundred meters away, the ancient extinct volcano that gave rise to the lava ridges where my vineyards, my house and the town of Barrel); a strongly mineral soil, with a dark and pozzolanic color, on which the history and life of the volcano can be clearly read; the eruptive phases composed of lava flows, lapilli or ash, interspersed with phases of stasis composed of layers of clay. All this is found in the glass when you savor the aromas and taste of the wine.
